We have started GeoCaching in August 2006. It's a nice way of getting out a bit. If you don't know what caching is then check it out here. We are logging our finds on the GeoCaching.com site.

From 1/10-2006 a Danish 25 øre is left at each cache found.
But as we are now running out of the old 25 øre it's only selected caches that get one.

Event cache

Thank you Gowenhouse for the event. Lovely to put some faces to the names in the logs. Had a great time and a good day hunting. Hope to be able to attend more events in the future.
8 caches before and 3 after so 12 caches in a day.

Cache no 200

Had taken half day off to pick Iben up from Gatwick, but as she didn't arrive till ~9pm it gave me some time do do a bit of caching.  Unfortunately it was raining all day and consequently very wet.

First cache was Thump 1 which had been on my to-do  list since I logged it in error last year.

Then on to The Teddy Bears Picnic. And as far as I can count it's Rupert Bear that was no 200.

Smallest cache yet at the dragonfly

Caching in France

We went caching on our holiday in France, and in many ways it was better than caching in UK as there are a lot less caches and consequently they tend to be miles better than the typical cache and dash ones here.

Le sentier cotier by M4DP's team.  Some lovely houses along this walk, a small climb up the rocks got the cache.

Stang-Bihan by soad29.  Lovely walk along the bank. Spent some time looking at the wrecked boats, counted 5 wrecks. Then on to the cache. Found the box fairly easily.

Les druides de Penfoulic by yandens. Lovely multicache, we did the first two parts without the kids and then a couple of days later picked up the final.  On the photos it looks like it's dark, but it had just rained and was a bit misty in the forest.

A day with sun, snow, sleet, hail and wind - so all weather in one morning.

Finally had some time to go for a walk.  Went from Keevil on a round trip of 9.5km looping around and then across to Steeple Ashton and back. Had planed a different route back, but I couldn't find the trail - hopefully it's still there...

Find no 100 on 11/8-2007. Barburry Castle, great place to wear out the kids...

Our first find
